No one organization or group of individuals can fully meet the needs of children, teens and young adults who have experienced abuse and neglect. It takes the community, as a whole, to help in their restoration.
There are two community partners, however, who play a special role in their lives: businesses and faith communities, or churches.
Our local businesses help us level the playing field for teens and young adults by providing jobs and support that will empower them to become productive citizens. For some businesses, this may mean employing one of these kids, while for others it may be financial sponsorship. If you are a business owner looking for a way to participate, contact Executive Director Angela Carron, MD, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our faith communities provide us with the volunteer teams who support our foster families. Our faith partners not only provide members of their congregation, but the moral and emotional support to do this work, and the shared investment in our mission. If you think your church or faith community may be interested in becoming a partner, contact Barb Lara at email@example.com
